Zelenskyy Discussed the Return of Children Abducted by Russia with the President of Chile

On September 33 in New York, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Chilean President José Antonio Casto. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the return of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia.

 

The head of state expressed his gratitude to the Chilean leader for his political support in international forums, particularly at the UN General Assembly, as well as for his assistance in efforts to return Ukrainian children abducted by Russia.

During the talks, the parties discussed in detail ways to deepen bilateral dialogue, paying particular attention to security issues and the development of drone technologies. Volodymyr Zelenskyy also thanked José Antonio Casta for his willingness to help expand Ukraine’s presence in Latin America.

Following the meeting, the Ukrainian president invited his Chilean counterpart to pay an official visit to Ukraine, noting that teams from both countries have already begun working on all the agreed-upon issues.

As a reminder, Trump set a condition for Ukraine’s use of Starlink during strikes against Russia.

Earlier, Zelenskyy and Trump concluded their talks in New York.

Donald Trump was asked whether he still believes that Ukraine is capable of regaining all the territories occupied by Russia. The U.S. president did not directly answer this question but stated that he expects an agreement between Kyiv and Moscow.
