Zelenskyy reported that the Russian Federation's nighttime attack claimed the lives of 12 people
As a result of Russia’s nighttime attack on Kyiv and 10 regions of Ukraine, 12 people were killed, including an Indian citizen. According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Russian forces used, among other things, ballistic and jet drones, and dozens of people were wounded.
Russia’s nighttime attack on Ukraine, which involved a significant number of jet-powered drones and ballistic missiles, claimed the lives of 12 people, including an Indian citizen, and left dozens wounded, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Tuesday in response to yet another enemy strike.
“A total of 12 people were killed, including an Indian citizen, and dozens more were wounded as a result of the attack. My condolences go out to everyone who has lost family members and loved ones,” Zelenskyy wrote on social media.
According to the president, Russia attacked Kyiv and 10 regions.

“In many cities and communities, efforts to deal with the aftermath of the Russian attack have been ongoing since last night: nearly 350 rescue workers have been deployed in Kyiv and the surrounding region alone. A significant number of jet-powered drones and ballistic missiles were used in the strike. Unfortunately, there has been damage to residential and civilian infrastructure. In Boryspil, a standard five-story apartment building was damaged. Fifty people were evacuated. Emergency services are on the scene. There were also strikes on industrial facilities. In total, four people were killed and 13 injured in the city. “My condolences,” Zelenskyy said.

He added: “Since this evening, strikes by KABs and drones have continued on Odesa and the surrounding region. Thousands of families are without power; work is underway to restore it to residents as quickly as possible. A border crossing with Romania was deliberately damaged, as was export infrastructure. In Kyiv, a strike on a railway depot killed seven people. The Kherson, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Sumy, and Dnipropetrovsk regions were also under fire.”

“Russia always calculates its strikes precisely to cause maximum devastation to people’s lives, and it succeeds in doing so only when air defense capabilities are insufficient. I am grateful to everyone who is helping Ukraine obtain anti-ballistic systems through the PURL and bilateral supplies, and it is very important that these deliveries increase in the fall. The number of victims of Russian terror directly depends on every new aid package. I thank everyone who is helping Ukraine become more resilient,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

On the night of September 1, Russia launched a massive attack on Odesa and the Odesa region. The enemy used loitering munitions, conventional and rocket-powered drones, as well as other high-speed targets.
Over the past 24 hours, on August 31, Russian troops carried out 981 strikes on 57 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. Two people were killed and eight others were wounded as a result of the enemy attacks.
Earlier, Russia attacked a facility in Novhorod-Siverskyi.
As a reminder, a massive attack on the Kyiv region has left one person dead and eight wounded.
Russia also launched a massive missile attack on Kyiv overnight, resulting in fatalities.
