Zelenskyy called for a trilateral meeting to continue peace talks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that, to avoid a deadlock in the peace talks, it is necessary to hold a trilateral meeting and move forward through diplomatic channels.

He made this statement during an online conversation with journalists on Monday.

“I don’t believe we’re at an impasse. An impasse—and then what are we all supposed to do? Give up, relax? Let Russia give up; we won’t. We must organize a trilateral meeting and continue down the diplomatic path,” Zelenskyy said.

Earlier, he emphasized that Ukraine is ready to hold further peace talks anywhere except on the territories of Russia and Belarus.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine would not be the party blocking peace talks and is ready to hold them in any country except Russia and Belarus.

Earlier, Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo stated that Europe must take on more responsibility in the peace negotiation process regarding the war in Ukraine.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy attributed the lack of a date for the next trilateral talks to security restrictions imposed by the U.S. side and Russia’s unwillingness to meet in Washington.
