The Ukrainian Armed Forces killed Russian occupier and boxer Sanja Rinchinov on the front lines
The Ukrainian Defense Forces killed Russian serviceman Sanji Rinchinov, who joined the war against Ukraine after signing a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Sanji Rinchinov was born on December 26, 2004. He had been boxing since childhood and achieved notable athletic results.
In 2021, Rinchinov met the qualification standards for the title of Candidate Master of Sports and placed in the Russian Youth Championship. In 2023–2024, he was a member of the Buryatia national boxing team and also won a medal at the Far Eastern Federal District Junior Championships.
In May 2025, Sanji Rinchinov was drafted into the Russian army. During his service, he signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense and took part in Russia’s war against Ukraine.
Guards Junior Sergeant Sanji Rinchinov was killed in action by the Ukrainian Defense Forces on September 15, 2026.
The funeral for the Russian servicemember is scheduled for October 2, 2026.
Earlier, in occupied Donetsk, Viktor Basenko—one of the leaders of the headquarters of Russia’s 25th Combined Arms Army—was killed as a result of a strike on a Russian command post. He held the position of chief of staff for logistics for the Russian military group.
Previously, through OSINT monitoring, it was possible to identify the Russian officers who were killed during the strike on the command post in Donetsk on September 8, 2025.
A high-ranking Russian officer, Colonel Andriy Krestyansky, was killed in Ukraine. He served as a senior instructor and inspector at the Training Center for Command Staff of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The “Russian Officers Killed in Ukraine” project has uncovered evidence of the death of another officer from Russia’s 41st Combined Arms Army. The officer in question is Lieutenant Colonel Artem Akimov, who served as deputy commander of the army’s air defense command. Researchers speculate that he may have been killed during a Ukrainian strike on a command post in Donetsk on August 26; however, this theory has not yet been independently confirmed.
