The Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated Nikolai Zanozin, a three-time Russian world champion in step dance
The Ukrainian Defense Forces killed Russian occupier Nikolai Zanozin, who, prior to his participation in the war against Ukraine, was a well-known tap dancer.
Zanozin began tap dancing in the 1990s at the “Russian School of American Tap.”
He competed in world and European championships and won titles at Russian championships and cup competitions. According to the Russian Modern Dance Federation, Zanozin was a three-time world champion.
In addition to performing, Mykola Zanozin worked as a tap dance judge. He officiated at international competitions, including world and European championships.
Later, the former dancer joined the Russian aggression against Ukraine and became an occupier.
On July 7, 2026, the Ukrainian military killed Mykola Zanozin.
On August 20, it was reported that the 50-year-old native of the Altai Krai, who rose to fame after appearing on the show “Let’s Get Married!” and became the subject of a popular meme, had been killed. According to Russian sources, in March 2026, he went to war against Ukraine and was soon killed on the front lines.
