Armed Forces of Ukraine deny Russian claims of capturing Stavky and Novoselivka: video evidence
Statements by the Russian 20th Army and the Ministry of Defence claiming the “capture” of the settlements of Stavky and Novoselivka, in the area of responsibility of the 60th Mechanised Brigade of the Third Army Corps, are yet another example of information manipulation.
This was stated by the commander of the 60th Separate Mechanised Ingulets Brigade, Dmytro Rogozuk, according to the Third Army Corps.
“The 60th Separate Mechanised Ingulets Brigade, together with adjacent units, continues to firmly hold the occupied lines in Donetsk Oblast. There are no grounds for announcing the ‘capture’ of Stavky and Novoselivka!” the brigade commander emphasized.
The enemy is reportedly using an old tactic: infiltrating small groups into areas of villages not under their control to film staged videos with the tricolour flag, simulate “control,” and present their own losses as successes. Each of these groups is systematically destroyed by Ukrainian units. Nevertheless, commanders of the Russian 20th Army continue to report fictitious achievements to satisfy their higher command.
Between 30 November and 1 December, 171 combat clashes were recorded along the front line.
