UKR Armed Forces repel enemy attacks and hold positions in Orikhovo-Vasylivka
Ukrainian defence forces are holding designated positions in Orikhovo-Vasylivka on the Kramatorsk front, while the situation on the Kostiantynivka front remains difficult, particularly in the area of Kleban-Byk.
According to the “East” group of forces on Facebook on 29 January, Russian troops continue to concentrate strike units in the areas of Pryvillia, Vasyukivka, Minkivka, and Orikhovo-Vasylivka.
“The most challenging situation remains in Orikhovo-Vasylivka. However, reports of the settlement being captured are not true. Ukrainian forces are holding positions, repelling enemy attacks, and destroying their manpower,” the group stated.
On the Kostiantynivka front, the occupiers carried out nine attacks near Kostiantynivka, Predtechyne, Pleshchiivka, Sofiivka, and in the direction of Novopavlivka. “The situation is difficult, especially around Kleban-Byk, but our troops are containing the enemy’s offensive and holding designated lines,” the “East” group added.
Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces have eliminated more than 800 enemy personnel.
On the Prydniprovsk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled an attempt by the enemy to land on Kruhlyk Island.
