Six people have been killed and 31 injured as a result of the Russian strike on Merefa
The death toll and number of casualties have risen following the Russian attack on Merefa in the Kharkiv region—six people have been killed and another 31 have been injured.
This information was provided by Oleg Synyegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration.
“Unfortunately, a 68-year-old man died in the hospital. Medical staff did everything possible to save him, but his injuries were too severe. In total, six people have died in the city,” the post states.
According to him, the number of casualties has risen to 31.



In particular, medical personnel treated a 2-year-old boy; his condition is satisfactory, and the child will continue treatment on an outpatient basis.
Among those hospitalized is a 16-year-old boy.
All relevant services are on the scene of the attack; we are assessing the damage and supporting the victims, Sinyegubov added.
We previously reported that the number of people wounded in the strike on Merefa has risen to 23.
On the morning of May 4, Russian terrorists launched a missile strike on the city of Merefa in the Kharkiv region. Preliminary reports indicate the strike was carried out using an Iskander ballistic missile.
Nine civilians were injured as a result of a drone attack on Zaporizhzhia carried out by the aggressor country on Sunday. Among the victims is a two-year-old child, and the ages of those injured range from 2 to 67 years old.
