Russian Army deploys reserves near Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad; Ukraine holds the line
The Russian army in the Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad agglomeration has been forced to use its operational reserves due to significant losses. Ukrainian forces are effectively blocking attempts to storm the cities with small infantry groups.
This was reported by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, following a working visit to units operating on the Pokrovsk front.
Syrskyi emphasized that the defense of Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, and surrounding areas is being approached comprehensively. The objectives of the Ukrainian Defense Forces remain unchanged: defend positions, detect and destroy as much enemy personnel and equipment as possible, cut off enemy logistics, and counter aerial threats effectively.
Blocking attempts to storm cities with small infantry units is carried out through active operations by designated Ukrainian units, including the recapture of lost positions. Over the past week, Ukrainian forces conducted search and destroy operations over an area of approximately 11.5 km² in Pokrovsk.
The aggressor constantly changes attack directions and uses sneaky infiltration tactics, including disguising as civilians or using them as cover.
