Ukrainian Armed Forces deny the capture of Andriivka in Sumy region
The settlement of Andriivka in Sumy region is fully controlled by the Defence Forces of Ukraine. Reports claiming that the village was allegedly occupied by Russian troops are not true, according to the “Kursk” operational group.
This was reported by the Communications Centre of the “Kursk” group of forces.
Refutation of the occupation claim
The military officially confirmed that Andriivka remains under the Ukrainian flag. Despite enemy attempts to advance in this area, the Defence Forces continue to hold their positions.
“Andriivka has been and remains under the full control of the ‘Kursk’ group of forces. Therefore, there can be no talk of any occupation,” the Communications Centre stressed.
The group noted that the occupiers are indeed trying to expand their zone of control in the region, but these attempts have been unsuccessful. The command urges the media and the public to rely only on verified information and to avoid spreading rumours from unreliable sources.

Information hygiene
Ukrainians are being asked to treat reports from monitoring resources critically (including DeepState, which previously reported the alleged loss of the settlement). The Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasised that the enemy uses such information injections to destabilise society and create panic.
