The Ukrainian Armed Forces have eliminated another 1,440 invaders and nearly 1,900 drones
Over the past day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have killed another 1,440 Russian soldiers.
As of September 4, 2026, the Russian Federation’s total combat losses since the start of the full-scale invasion have reached approximately 1,493,790 personnel.
According to the General Staff, as of September 4, Russian forces had lost:
- personnel – approximately 1,493,790 (+1,440);
- tanks – 12,325 (+1);
- armored combat vehicles – 25,272 (+8);
- artillery systems – 49,162 (+77);
- multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS)—2,088 (+3);
- air defense systems – 1,604 (+4);
- aircraft – 441 (+0);
- helicopters – 355 (+0);
- ground-based robotic systems – 2,489 (+13);
- operational-tactical UAVs – 497,911 (+1,890);
- cruise missiles – 5,070 (+0);
- ships and boats – 35 (+0);
- submarines – 2 (+0);
- Vehicles and tankers – 143,642 (+492);
- specialized equipment – 4,636 (+8).
One of the highest daily loss figures was recorded for operational-tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian military destroyed another 1,890 Russian UAVs.
The destruction of 77 artillery systems, 8 armored combat vehicles, 8 units of specialized equipment, 8 ground-based robotic systems, 4 air defense systems, 3 multiple launch rocket systems, and 492 vehicles and tanker trucks was also recorded.
In addition, Ukrainian defenders destroyed one Russian tank.
Thus, since the start of the full-scale war, Russia has lost, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, more than 12,300 tanks, 25,200 armored combat vehicles, and 49,100 artillery systems.
The number of destroyed Russian operational-tactical-level drones has approached 500,000 and stands at 497,911 units.

Ukrainian defense forces have regained control over new areas of territory between Dvorichna and Zapadny in the Kharkiv region. According to the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine “Charter,” troops liberated another 4 km², while analysts at DeepState reported the clearing of 2 km² of forest and an advance near Zapadny.
Since the start of the day on September 3, there have been 199 combat engagements on the front lines. Russian troops carried out the most attacks in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian forces repelled 26 assaults.
