On June 22, a weak magnetic storm will affect Earth

On Monday, June 22, a weak green-level magnetic storm is expected on Earth.

According to experts’ forecasts, geomagnetic activity will remain at minimal levels with a K-index of 2.

According to scientists, there may be a slight increase in solar wind due to the influence of coronal holes on the Sun.

However, geomagnetic conditions are expected to remain mostly calm. At the same time, there is a small chance of brief, isolated periods of activity throughout the day.

Researchers emphasize that this geomagnetic forecast is preliminary and subject to change. Therefore, by the end of the day, the situation in the planet’s magnetosphere may change—either intensifying or subsiding.

This is reported by the British Geological Survey.
