Yemen’s army reports 476 Houthi fighters killed and wounded in one day — Anadolu Agency
Yemen’s Ministry of Defense said government forces conducted 356 operations against targets of the Houthi group on ten fronts across the country over the past 24 hours. According to the ministry, 476 members of the group were killed or wounded as a result of these actions.
Operations on ten fronts
Armed forces spokesperson Colonel Majid al-Nuzaili published a statement on social media platform X. As Anadolu Agency reports, the military described the operations as precise strikes on Houthi reinforcements and military capabilities.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the operations were conducted on the west coast, in the Harad and Al-Tuwal areas in the northwest of Hajjah province, as well as in the Kitaf, Al-Baqa and Al-Buqa areas in the north of Saada province. They also covered the northeast of Al-Jawf province, eastern Marib, southern Lahj, southwestern Taiz and the central province of Al-Bayda.

Claims of destroyed facilities
Yemen’s military department claims that command and control centers, weapons depots and field artillery were destroyed during the operations. It said that several Houthi military vehicles were also destroyed or damaged.
The ministry accused the group of using civilians as human shields, stating that the Houthis allegedly turn schools into command centers, weapons depots and supply points. No comments from the Houthis regarding these claims had been received at the time of reporting.
The conflict in Yemen has continued since 2014, when the Houthis seized Sanaa and several provinces. In September, hostilities intensified: the Houthis took control of several key areas in Al-Hudaydah and Taiz provinces, including the strategic city of Mocha, and also reached Mayyun Island near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
