Sindh Assembly supports Saudi Arabia over drone attack — Dawn
The Sindh Provincial Assembly in Pakistan unanimously adopted a resolution expressing solidarity with Saudi Arabia over a drone attack targeting Mecca. The initiator of the document, Muhammad Rashid Khan, a lawmaker from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan party, said that the incident affected the entire Muslim ummah.
Resolution of solidarity
Sindh Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Ziaul Hassan Lanjar supported the resolution. He emphasized the sacred significance of Mecca for Muslims, where the Holy Kaaba is located, and said that its sanctity must not be violated.
According to Lanjar, Saudi Arabia is of great importance to the Muslim ummah. He also called on the United Nations to adopt a similar resolution. The assembly unanimously supported the document on full solidarity with the kingdom, Dawn reports.

Other issues at the session
Later, lawmaker Ejaz-ul-Haq introduced a resolution concerning the Khatm-i-Nabuwat laws. It calls on the federal and provincial authorities to ensure the implementation of these laws and to include the relevant topic in the curriculum. This resolution was also unanimously supported.
The session raised issues concerning the condition of the Cardiology Medical Center in the Landhi area, water shortages in Latifabad and Hyderabad, as well as pedestrian bridges on University Road in Karachi. Parliamentary Secretary for Local Government Qasim Siraj Soomro said that a significant part of the cardiology center's equipment was not operational. The assembly session was later adjourned.
