Trump’s White House unveils arcade games about deportation
The White House of US President Donald Trump on September 3 unveiled a website featuring classic arcade games in MAGA style. Players are invited to deport migrants and build a border wall. Channel NewsAsia reports, citing AFP.
Games about the border and deportation
One of the games is called Rio Run and is an updated version of Snake. In it, a digital character of Tom Homan chases migrants with different skin colors near the Rio Grande river on the border with Mexico.
Another game, based on the block-stacking game Tetris, is called Build the Wall. Its instructions urge players to “protect the border from the approaching horde.”
The third game involves collecting nets to be credited to so-called Trump accounts. These are investment accounts with an initial contribution of $1,000 for children born in 2025–2028.

Reaction from the White House and human rights advocates
The White House account on social network X published a video with a MAGA logo stylized after the logo of video game manufacturer Sega. The post promoted games about building a wall, deportation and adding funds to Trump accounts.
In a statement to AFP, the White House said it seeks to tell the story of the president’s achievements innovatively in a way that resonates with every American. It also called the website a way to contrast a “culture of entertainment and winning” with what the administration described as Democrats’ “dark socialist vision.”
Human rights groups criticized the launch of the website. America Garcia Grewall, co-director of the Frontera Federation in Eagle Pass, Texas, told AFP that the game developers had lost touch with humanity and care for others. Adriana Yasso, program coordinator at AMIGOS San Diego Community, said that the arcade format demonstrates the administration’s lack of seriousness regarding the migration issue.
During his campaign, Trump promised to expel millions of undocumented migrants. After returning to power, his administration took measures to speed up deportations and reduce the number of border crossings.
