Belarus has unveiled a new 6×6 armored chassis
The Minsk Wheeled Tractor Plant (MZKT) has unveiled a new all-wheel-drive armored chassis, the MZKT-690400, with a 6×6 wheel configuration, designed for operation in challenging off-road conditions and potential military use.
The chassis features a fully welded, BR-4-class armored cab, which provides a level of protection close to the STANAG 4569 Level 1 standard.
It is designed to protect the crew and the powerplant.

One of its key features is the adjustable hydro-pneumatic suspension, which allows for changing the ground clearance:
- minimum lowering—for transport by aircraft such as the Il-76
- maximum increase—up to 550 mm for traversing rough off-road terrain
- standard ground clearance—approximately 200 mm
Off-road capability is ensured by:
- a two-speed transfer case with a central differential
- inter-axle and inter-wheel locking mechanisms
- tubeless tires with a Run-Flat system
The chassis is equipped with:
- a 6-cylinder YAMZ-536 diesel engine
- power: 312 k.s.
- 6-speed hydromechanical transmission manufactured in Belarus
The vehicle’s maximum speed is up to 90 km/h.
The MZKT-690400 is equipped with:
- a video surveillance system
- systems for operating in complete darkness
The new armored chassis is positioned as a universal platform for military equipment, capable of operating both in challenging road conditions and during air transport.
