Bhat pays tribute to Pakistan’s fallen, veterans and military personnel
In Islamabad, Pakistan, senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement Altaf Ahmed Bhat paid tribute to Pakistan’s fallen, veterans and military personnel on the occasion of Defence Day. The Express Tribune reports.

Bhat said that September 6 is a symbol of courage, sacrifice, faith and national unity. According to him, the people of Pakistan have always demonstrated resilience when the country faced aggression or a threat.

Reference to 1965
According to Bhat, the sacrifices of those killed and veterans of 1965 continue to inspire subsequent generations and remind them that freedom, sovereignty and dignity are defended by courage, discipline and unwavering commitment.
He also called Defence Day not merely a historical date, but a reminder of the spirit that united the country around its armed forces. Bhat said that the fallen of 1965 wrote an important page of courage in Pakistan’s history through their sacrifice, which was made for the country’s honour, security and future.
