Bulgaria has exhausted its stockpile of weapons for Ukraine, but is ready to repair military equipment, says Radev

Bulgaria is no longer able to supply Ukraine with weapons and military equipment from its own stockpiles, but it remains ready to continue assisting with the repair and restoration of military equipment.

According to the Bulgarian prime minister, the country has already provided Ukraine with 13 packages of military aid, after which its resources for further arms deliveries were exhausted.

We have provided 13 packages of such aid. We have nothing left to give Ukraine. But we can provide technical military support. We can guarantee the acceptance of military equipment for repair and restoration. That is our support,” Radev noted.

At the same time, Bulgaria is ready to provide repair, maintenance, and restoration services for Ukrainian military equipment, which will remain one of the areas of support for Ukraine.

In addition, Bulgarian Defense Minister Dimitar Stoyanov stated that Sofia does not plan to continue supplying weapons to Ukraine. According to him, Ukraine “needs more people, not more weapons.”

Earlier, it was also reported that the pro-Russian “Revival” party had submitted a draft resolution to the Bulgarian parliament to terminate the 10-year security agreement with Ukraine.

At the same time, Rumen Radev had previously emphasized that the European Union should play a leading role in negotiations with Russia to end the full-scale war against Ukraine.

Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev made this statement during the NATO summit in Ankara.

Bulgarian President Rumen Radev stated that Western attempts to defeat Russia through conventional military means could lead to a dangerous escalation and increase the risk of a nuclear response.
