In the Sloviansk sector, the Defense Forces successfully repelled 29 attacks by Russian occupiers — General Staff
On July 10, 226 combat engagements between Ukrainian and Russian forces were recorded on the front lines. The enemy launched the most attacks in the Pokrovsk and Sloviansk sectors—29 assaults in each.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian forces continue to repel the Russian army’s offensive. In the Pokrovsk direction, 70 invaders were neutralized over the past 24 hours—51 were killed and another 19 were wounded.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that since the start of the day on July 10, there have been 226 combat engagements with Russian troops. The Russian army carried out 57 airstrikes, using 175 guided bombs. The enemy also deployed 4,913 kamikaze drones and fired 1,847 rounds at Ukrainian positions and populated areas.
“In total, there have been 226 combat engagements since the start of this day. The aggressor carried out 57 airstrikes using 175 guided bombs, deployed 4,913 kamikaze drones for the strikes, and carried out 1,847 shelling attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas,” the General Staff reported. The highest level of activity by Russian forces was observed in the Pokrovsk and Sloviansk sectors.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the Russians carried out two airstrikes, dropping five guided bombs. The enemy also carried out 30 attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas, two of which involved the use of multiple-launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhansky sector, Russian troops attempted to attack Ukrainian positions eight times near Staritsa, Lyman, and in the direction of Novovasylivka and Izbytske.
In the Kupiansk sector, no enemy offensive actions were recorded.
In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 13 Russian attempts to advance. Fighting took place in the areas of Drobysheve, Chervonyi Stav, Borova, Lyman, Ozernyi, Dibrova, and Stavky. One engagement was still ongoing.
In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 29 enemy attacks. The Russians attempted to advance near Kryva Luka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, Mykolaivka, Riznykivka, and Zakytne.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy carried out four attacks near Fedorivka Druha and in the directions of Vasyutynske, Nikonorivka, and Tykhonivka. One engagement was still ongoing.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 17 attacks by Russian forces in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Ivanopillia, Stepanivka, and Rusyno Yar.
The Pokrovsk direction remained one of the most intense. There, Russian troops carried out 29 attempts to advance.
The attacks took place near Toretsk, Novomykolaivka, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Vasylivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, and Molodetske. The enemy also attempted to advance in the directions of Vilne, Kucherovyi Yar, Novyi Shakhovyi, Matyashiv, Myrne, Novopavlivka, Shevchenko, and Serhiivka.
Four combat engagements in this sector were still ongoing. According to preliminary data, Ukrainian forces destroyed or neutralized the following over the course of the day:
- 51 Russian soldiers, with another 19 occupiers wounded;
- 4 vehicles;
- 1 piece of specialized equipment;
- 4 artillery systems were damaged;
- 78 Russian military shelters were destroyed or damaged;
- 152 enemy drones were destroyed or neutralized.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian forces launched two attacks near Ternove.
In the Huliaipole sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 10 attacks in the directions of Olenokostiantynivka, Staroukrainka, Huliaipole, Sviatopetrivka, and in the Dobropillia area.
In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy made one attempt to storm Ukrainian Armed Forces positions near Shcherbakiv.
In the Dnipro sector, Russian troops did not conduct any offensive operations.
The General Staff noted that no significant changes in the situation were recorded on other sections of the front. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.
In addition, on the night of July 8, strike drones of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a military airfield in Borisoglebsk, Voronezh Oblast, Russia. This airbase is home to aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which are used for both combat and training missions.
Over the past day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have reduced the strength of the Russian army by another 1,260 troops. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released updated data on enemy losses as of July 8, also reporting the destruction of a significant amount of enemy equipment.
