The United Kingdom, France, and Germany have presented Russia with terms for peace in Ukraine

In Moscow, the ambassadors of the United Kingdom, France, and Germany held an official meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galinin, during which they diplomatically conveyed the joint position of the European Trio (E3) on achieving peace in Ukraine.

Representatives of the European states directly presented to the Russian side the key provisions of the official statement issued by their countries’ leaders on June 7. This was reported by the press service of the British Embassy in Russia.

During the talks, foreign diplomats strongly condemned the Kremlin’s latest escalation and the significant intensification of large-scale disinformation campaigns that Russia is deploying in the context of its ongoing military aggression against Ukraine. European ambassadors made it clear that further attempts to destabilize European security and manipulate the information space will face a united response from Western partners.

A separate item on the meeting’s agenda was the E3 diplomats’ support for the official initiative of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who had previously called for the start of direct negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. The ambassadors emphasized that such a diplomatic process must take place with the direct and active participation of the United States and leading European countries, and its primary goal must be a complete ceasefire and further systematic progress toward a comprehensive political settlement of the conflict.

This was reported by the British Embassy in Moscow.

European leaders intend to use their planned meetings with U.S. President Donald Trump during the upcoming G7 summit to persuade him to support a renewed format for peace talks between Ukraine and Russia.

European leaders are ready to take a leading role in negotiations to end Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.
