King Charles III of the United Kingdom and Queen Camilla will make their first state visit to the United States in late April 2026.

The four-day trip will mark the first visit by a British monarch to the U.S. in 19 years and will coincide with the 250th anniversary of American independence.
The itinerary includes stops in Washington, New York, and Virginia. U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to welcome the royal couple with special honors, including a state dinner at the White House scheduled for April 28.
One of the highlights of the trip will be the monarch’s address to both houses of the U.S. Congress.
Officials from Buckingham Palace and Washington have agreed in advance on a list of topics for discussion, deliberately excluding the scandalous case of the late financier Jeffrey Epstein.
The parties are seeking to avoid any public statements that could influence ongoing investigations or legal proceedings related to Epstein’s associates.
“They decided to avoid this topic so as not to influence potential investigations and court proceedings. Even minor public statements can have consequences, so the parties do not want to take any risks,” sources close to diplomatic circles report.
