Even as a child, Barron Trump was given a set of strict rules by his father, which, according to Radar Online, he allegedly continued to follow as an adult.

A video clip previously surfaced online showing 5-year-old Barron running up to Donald Trump before his first day of kindergarten. Instead of the usual words of encouragement, his father decided to remind his son of his expectations.

“I only want ‘excellent,’” Trump said. The boy replied, “Okay.”

After that, the politician laid out a series of rules for his son to follow in the future.

“And when you grow up, what do you need to remember? No drugs, no alcohol, and no cigarettes. And you know what else? No tattoos. I never want to see a tattoo on you,” Trump said.

According to a source close to the Trump family, Barron heeded his father’s advice. In particular, he inherited from him an interest in business, making money, and the desire to “make a name for himself.”

“Berron inherited his father’s interest in making money and his desire to make a name for himself, and he’s on his way to becoming an entrepreneur. He is smart, focused, and resourceful. He is always looking for areas that interest him, and he is quite ambitious for his age,” the source said.

Barron, now 20, is studying business at New York University. According to the publication’s source, the young man strives to impress his parents, especially Donald Trump, and wants to “make his mark.”

At the same time, the media notes that over the years, the relationship between Donald Trump and Barron has become less close.

The U.S. president has previously said that he doesn’t interact much with his children. And on Mother’s Day, his comments about Barron sparked discussion on social media—Trump referred to him as “Melania’s son.”

“It seems he constantly forgets that Melania’s son is also his son,” social media users quipped.

This was reported by Radar Online.

As a reminder, U.S. President Donald Trump recently welcomed 16-year-old lifeguard Ryder Williams and 10-year-old Nathaniel Ray—whom the teenager rescued off the coast of California—to the Oval Office. The video of the rescue, filmed in late July, went viral, according to The Guardian.
