Two airports near Mexico City to suspend flights for four hours
In Mexico, on September 16, Benito Juárez International Airport in Mexico City and Felipe Ángeles International Airport will suspend takeoffs and landings from 10:00 to 14:00. The restrictions are being introduced for the duration of the annual Independence Day parade, Mexico News Daily reports.
Restrictions during the parade
The Mexican Navy, which operates Benito Juárez Airport, said the temporary suspension of flights is necessary for the safety of military maneuvers in the capital's airspace.
According to Notices to Airmen NOTAM A8260/26 and B1724/26, issued by the Federal Civil Aviation Agency and distributed by Mexico's Airspace Navigation Services, Benito Juárez Airport will be closed to all types of flights during the specified hours.

Felipe Ángeles Airport, located in the State of Mexico, will also suspend takeoffs and landings from 10:00 to 14:00. Military aircraft taking part in the flyovers will take off from Santa Lucía Air Base, which is adjacent to the airport.
The aerial part of the event
The Navy advised passengers with flights scheduled for Wednesday to check their status with airlines, as the event will cause schedule adjustments.
The parade is set to begin at 10:00 with a flyover above the central Zócalo square by nearly 100 Air Force and National Guard aircraft and helicopters, including F-5 fighter jets. The ground portion will proceed from an area near the Zócalo past the Palace of Fine Arts, along Juárez Avenue and Paseo de la Reforma, and will end near the Campo Marte military complex next to Chapultepec Park.
