Jeremy Clarkson announced that he has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer — The Independent

British TV host and journalist Jeremy Clarkson announced that he has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer

The 66-year-old media personality spoke about his serious illness in the final episodes of the fifth season of his popular show, “Clarkson’s Farm.”

Viewers learned about the star’s hospitalization and surgery from the episode that aired on the night of June 17.

Clarkson personally informed his colleagues on set, Charlie Ireland and Caleb Cooper, about the devastating diagnosis.

The TV host also said that after a medical examination, he underwent a biopsy and was told that the cancer was aggressive but had been detected at a very early stage. According to the journalist, he received the initial test results and confirmation of the disease back in May.

Doctors insisted on immediate surgery due to the seriousness of the type of tumor detected. The TV host said he was expecting to undergo surgery within a few weeks.

He later revealed that he had prostate cancer and that he had undergone surgery to remove part of the tumor. The treatment process turned out to be much more complicated than the TV host’s medical team had anticipated.

During the filming of the show, journalists captured footage directly from the medical facility where the British TV host was staying. Later in the episode, he is shown in a hospital bed, where he says that part of his treatment “didn’t go as planned.”

Unforeseen complications forced Clarkson to remain under medical supervision for an indefinite period.

The well-known journalist addressed his many fans with a candid and emotional speech.

He said, “I’ll be here for a while longer. I don’t know what will happen next. I wanted to say that if everything goes well, I’ll see you in season six, and if not, then not. Take care, everyone.”

Despite his serious condition, Clarkson is trying to stay strong and hopes to return to work on television.
