Trump's former special representative said that Ukraine is taking the initiative in the war
Keelog, former Special Representative of U.S. President Donald Trump, stated that recent developments on the front lines indicate that the situation is shifting in Ukraine’s favor. According to him, for the first time in a long while, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are beginning to gain the upper hand over Russian troops.
Former U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Keith Kellogg noted that the course of the fighting is shifting due to Kyiv’s successful long-range strikes on Russian oil infrastructure. These strikes have triggered a severe fuel shortage, which is particularly acute in the occupied Crimean Peninsula.
According to Kellogg’s assessment, such results demonstrate a real advantage for the Ukrainian side over Russian forces, something that has not been seen since 2023. He noted that in forecasts regarding the conflict’s future course, Ukraine is now the clear favorite, so he would bet on its success.
Furthermore, the emergence of a Ukrainian advantage on the battlefield could also influence the position of U.S. President Donald Trump, as he tends to side with the winners, according to TVP World.
As a reminder, former U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg stated that Moscow is losing the war, not winning it. He called on the Russian side to begin negotiations.
Keith Kellogg noted significant similarities between the personalities of Presidents Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump.
