Navalny's Foundation recognised as a Terrorist Organisation in Russia

The Russian Supreme Court has recognised the American legal entity Anti-Corruption Foundation Inc. (FBK) as a terrorist organisation. In 2021, a Russian court had already recognised the FBK and Navalny's regional headquarters as extremist organisations.

This was reported by Russian media.

“The court has established that the goals and actions of this corporation are aimed at promoting, justifying, and supporting terrorism. Leonid Volkov manages its activities and controls the implementation of its rights and obligations,”the Russian Supreme Court stated.

The hearing was reportedly held in a closed session and was presided over by Judge Oleg Nefyodov, who had previously recognised the non-existent “International LGBT Movement” and “International Satanism Movement” as extremist.

The lawsuit demanding that ACF Inc. be recognised as a terrorist organisation was filed in October by the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office. Navalny’s associates emphasised that the American legal entity is essential for the FBK to simplify the collection of donations.

“Our practical international activities — including sanctions work, international lobbying, travel, and fundraising — will become even more difficult,” said Leonid Volkov.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that Putin’s reserve fund may be depleted by 2026. Russia has also reportedly begun selling gold on the domestic market, according to intelligence sources.
