King Charles visited a hospital as he battles cancer
King Charles III of the United Kingdom, who was diagnosed with cancer in 2024, visited a National Health Service cancer center and met with doctors and patients. During the visit, he also addressed the medical staff and thanked them for their work, which saves lives every day. This was reported by British media, citing Geo News and Buckingham Palace.
The palace noted that the monarch visited a hospital that uses modern methods to treat cancer patients, including artificial intelligence and robotics. He spoke with people undergoing chemotherapy, as well as with nurses and doctors working at the cancer center. “At the hospital’s cancer center, the King spoke with patients undergoing chemotherapy, as well as with nurses and doctors,” the palace statement said.

Separately, Buckingham Palace released a statement from Charles III in which he expressed his gratitude to healthcare workers. “A huge thank you to all the brilliant doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers who save lives and look after people’s well-being,” the king noted.

According to the palace, the hospital’s oncology department has a long history, and the center brings together units that were previously located at different sites. Despite his diagnosis, Charles III continues to carry out some of his duties and regularly appears at public events.

During the official visit of King Charles III and Queen Camilla to the U.S., a state dinner was held with President Donald Trump in attendance. During his speech, the American president touched on the topic of war in Iran, which reportedly did not conform to the diplomatic protocol of the event. Following the incident, Buckingham Palace responded to the situation regarding Trump’s remarks during the official banquet.
