Forbes USA has compiled a list of people from Russia and the former Soviet Union who have managed to realize the American dream

Forbes USA magazine has released a list of the 250 immigrants who have best embodied the “American Dream.” The list includes a separate analysis of individuals from Russia and the former Soviet Union, who were also included due to their significant contributions to science, technology, culture, and business.

Among the most famous figures on the list are Igor Sikorsky, who, after emigrating, created the first mass-produced helicopter in the U.S., and Vladimir Zvorykin, whose invention laid the foundation for modern television.

The list also includes Jacob Davis, a tailor of Russian descent who, together with Levi Strauss, patented the technology for riveted jeans, which later became the global standard for denim production. Adolf Levitt is also singled out; he is credited with creating the recipe for the classic American doughnut.

In the cultural sphere, the list includes prominent figures such as composer Irving Berlin, author of the song “God Bless America,” composer Igor Stravinsky, actor Yul Brynner, and writer Vladimir Nabokov, known for his novel “Lolita” and his scientific discoveries in entomology, where he described more than 12 species of butterflies.

Thus, the Forbes list highlights the significant influence of immigrants from the post-Soviet space on the development of American science, culture, and industry, demonstrating the scale of their contribution to global history.

As a reminder, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, remains the wealthiest person on the planet.

Elon Musk stated that a degree is not always an indicator of a quality education.

American billionaire Elon Musk has amended his lawsuit against OpenAI, demanding that the company’s CEO, Sam Altman, be removed from the board of directors of the controlling charitable foundation. The entrepreneur is also seeking more than $150 billion in damages from OpenAI and Microsoft.
