France is investigating an "Iranian link" in the attempted bombing near an American bank in Paris
French authorities are investigating Iran's possible involvement in an attempted bombing near the Bank of America building in Paris.
This was reported by the AP.
French Interior Minister Laurent Nunes stated that the suspects’ modus operandi resembles other recent incidents in Europe.
These include attacks in the Netherlands and Belgium, for which a pro-Iranian group claimed responsibility.
The same group also claimed responsibility for setting fire to ambulances in London.
French authorities believe these incidents may be linked to the conflict in the Middle East.
The investigation is ongoing.
On the morning of Saturday, March 28, French police prevented an explosion near an American bank in Paris. A man who attempted to detonate a homemade explosive device was detained.
As a reminder, Dutch prosecutors stated that four men suspected of involvement in the explosion at a synagogue in Rotterdam may have acted with terrorist intent. The incident, which occurred on Monday, March 16, is being investigated as a possible terrorist act.
