Karen Cohen Hazon, CEO and controlling shareholder of Turpaz Industries, together with her husband Shay Hazon, donated company shares worth an estimated NIS 70 million to three major hospitals in Israel. As The Jerusalem Post reports, the donation amounted to 1% of Turpaz Industries shares from the couple’s personal holdings and was announced in July 2025.

The donation was directed toward medical initiatives at Sheba Medical Center, Rabin Medical Center’s Beilinson Hospital, and Soroka Medical Center. At Sheba, the Institute of Obstetric and Gynecological Imaging was opened in honor of Cohen Hazon’s parents, Nediva (Giselle) and Moshe (Musa) Cohen.

Support for cardiology

At Beilinson Hospital, the donation was designated for the development of the Cardiology Center in the Hope Tower, headed by Professor Ran Kornowski, as well as for expanding the intensive care unit for cardiac patients managed by Professor Katya Orvin. The funding is expected to increase treatment capacity, improve infrastructure, and facilitate the introduction of modern technologies for cardiac patients.
