The German foreign minister stated that Russia is assisting Iran with targeting for strikes
German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul accused Russia of helping Iran identify potential targets for strikes.
According to him, the Russian president is trying to use the escalation in the Middle East as a way to divert attention from the war against Ukraine.
Wadeful emphasized that such actions should not succeed, and that the international community recognizes the connection between the two conflicts.
He also reported that he discussed with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio the possibility of Germany’s participation in ensuring security in the Strait of Hormuz after the end of hostilities.
As a reminder, the Kremlin has expressed hope for new negotiations with Ukraine.
The Kremlin also commented on the upcoming talks in the U.S. without Russia’s participation.
