Honduras has joined the international coalition to bring Ukrainian children home
Honduras has joined the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children, becoming its 52nd member.
According to a press release provided to the Interfax-Ukraine news agency, Honduras’s accession to the coalition was announced during the Second International Pathways to Peace Conference. The event, dedicated to the return of Ukrainian children, illegally detained civilians, and prisoners of war, took place in Toronto with the participation of representatives from 83 countries and international organizations.
“We are grateful to Honduras for joining the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children. Each new member state strengthens our collective capabilities and brings us closer to our main goal—returning Ukrainian children home,” said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga.
Bring Kids Back UA noted that New Zealand joined the coalition as its 51st member in August.
According to Maxim Maximov, head of Bring Kids Back UA, the expansion of the coalition opens up additional opportunities for practical cooperation in locating and returning children, their reintegration, and international coordination.
