Jaan Tallinn tops Estonia’s richest ranking with €10.3 billion fortune

In Estonia, technology entrepreneur Jaan Tallinn topped the ranking of the country’s richest people compiled by the business publication Äripäev. His fortune was estimated at €10.318 billion. ERR News reports.

The top five in the ranking

Tallinn was a co-founder of Skype in 2003 and is a prominent figure in artificial intelligence development. The unchanged top five in the list also included Wise co-founders Kristo Käärmann, with a fortune of €1.933 billion, and Taavet Hinrikus, with €1.476 billion.

Fourth place went to Bolt founder Markus Villig, whose fortune was estimated at €960.8 million. Fifth was media and entertainment entrepreneur Margus Linnamäe, with a fortune of €686.9 million.

The wealth of the 500 richest people

According to Äripäev, the combined wealth of Estonia’s 500 richest people increased by about one-third over the year, reaching €41.4 billion. The ranking includes three billionaires, and all ten wealthiest people on the list are men.

Sixth place went to Raul Kirjanen of AS Graanul, with a fortune of €559.2 million. He was followed by Oleg Ossinovski of Skinest Grupp, with €551.1 million; Anders Anderson, with €497.3 million; Oliver Leisalu of Bolt, with €461.2 million; and Fyodor Berman of BLRT Grupp, with €394.8 million.
