Apple prices in Ukraine have dropped by 20%: how much does a kilogram cost?
Prices for fall apple varieties continue to fall in Ukraine. Growers are selling high-quality apples for 15–25 UAH per kilogram, which is about 20% cheaper than at the end of last workweek.
The main reason for the price drop is increased market supply and subdued demand. Since fall varieties are not intended for long-term storage, growers are trying to sell their harvest quickly.
Apple Prices in Ukraine
Currently, Ukrainian producers are selling high-quality apples for 15–25 UAH per kilogram. On average, this is 20% cheaper than at the end of last workweek.
The bulk of the current supply consists of fall apple varieties, which are not intended for long-term storage. As a result, growers are trying to sell their harvest as quickly as possible, which is putting additional downward pressure on prices.
At the same time, apples from the new harvest in Ukraine are already selling for an average of 44% less than at the end of August 2025.

Price Forecast
Prices for imported fruits, particularly bananas and oranges, will depend on the hryvnia-to-dollar exchange rate. Apple prices may rise due to a reduction in last year’s harvest stocks in Ukrainian farms’ storage facilities. At the same time, the new season may yield a larger harvest than last year.
Most Ukrainian fruit growers expect wholesale prices for apples to fall in January–May 2027. The most likely scenario is a price drop of 11–20%.
