Lithuania has recorded one of the highest inflation rates among European Union countries.
This was reported by LRT, citing Eurostat data.
In March, annual inflation, calculated according to EU standards, stood at 4.4%. Only Croatia (4.6%) and Romania (9%) had higher rates.
On a monthly basis, prices in Lithuania rose by 1.5%. By comparison, this figure was 1.9% in Latvia, while prices remained unchanged in Estonia.
Across the EU as a whole, annual inflation stood at 2.8%, and in the eurozone, it was 2.6%.
