Iran launched drone attacks on U.S. military facilities in Kuwait

Iranian drones struck U.S. military satellite equipment and ammunition depots on Bubiyan Island.

This was reported by Reuters, citing a video statement by Iranian Central Command spokesman Hatem al-Anbia dated April 6, 2026. The attack was yet another act of aggression against U.S. forces deployed in the region.

According to an official statement from the Iranian side, the strikes targeted high-tech communications equipment and logistics supply points of the U.S. Army. Information regarding the extent of the damage and potential casualties among personnel is currently being verified. This incident occurred against the backdrop of a general escalation of the security situation in the Middle East and ongoing conflicts involving proxy forces of Russia and Iran. U.S. Central Command has not yet provided official comments regarding the consequences of the strikes on the Kuwaiti island.

Iran refused to reopen the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for a temporary ceasefire, despite a peace initiative proposed by Pakistan.

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that a deal with Iran could be reached as early as April 6, 2026, warning of the complete destruction of critical infrastructure should negotiations fail.

Prior to this, Trump issued an ultimatum to Iran’s leadership demanding that the Strait of Hormuz be reopened by the evening of Tuesday, April 7

As a reminder, the IRGC announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and threatened a “harsh response” to ships.

The Strait of Hormuz could also become the “Trump Strait.”
