Iran has presented the U.S. and Israel with a 10-point peace plan

Iran has presented the U.S. and Israel with a 10-point peace plan

Iran has presented a ten-point proposal to end the war with the United States and Israel. The document was delivered via Pakistan, which is acting as a mediator in the negotiations.

This was reported by The New York Times.

According to sources, the details of the plan have not been fully disclosed, but Tehran’s key demands are known. In particular, Iran insists on security guarantees to prevent new attacks, the complete lifting of sanctions, and an end to Israeli strikes against the Hezbollah group in Lebanon.

In return, Iran is prepared to lift the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and impose a special fee of $2 million on each vessel. These funds are planned to be shared with Oman, located on the opposite shore.

According to the proposal, Iran will allocate its share of the proceeds to rebuild infrastructure destroyed by U.S. and Israeli attacks. This mechanism is viewed as an alternative to demands for direct compensation.

At the same time, Iranian state media emphasized that the document “rejects a ceasefire” and calls for a definitive end to the war on Tehran’s terms.

As a reminder, the U.S. previously conveyed its own 15-point proposal via Pakistan, but Iran rejected it and formulated counterproposals, some of which were incorporated into the new plan.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States could “destroy Iran overnight” if Tehran did not comply with Washington’s demands, particularly regarding the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.

The day before, official Tehran announced that the strategically important sea route would remain closed until full compensation for the damage caused to the country by the war was provided.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced the possibility of reaching an agreement with Iran as early as April 6, 2026, warning of the complete destruction of critical infrastructure should negotiations fail.

Prior to this, Trump issued an ultimatum to Iran’s leadership demanding that the Strait of Hormuz be reopened by the evening of Tuesday, April 7

As a reminder, the IRGC announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and threatened a “harsh response” to ships.

The Strait of Hormuz could also become the “Trump Strait.”
