Iran has shot down another U.S. fighter jet — media reports

Iran shot down a second U.S. A-10 Thunderbolt II military aircraft, forcing the pilot to eject, according to media reports.

A U.S. official familiar with the situation told CNN about this.

The pilot of the A-10, also known as the Warthog, managed to fly the aircraft out of Iranian airspace before ejecting and was subsequently rescued, the official said.

Iranian state media, citing a statement from the army’s press service, reported that Iranian air defense systems had attacked the U.S. military aircraft near the Strait of Hormuz, and it crashed into the Persian Gulf.

It is also reported that this occurred on April 3, the same day that an F-15E was shot down over Iran.

Warthogs are single-seat aircraft that have been flying over Iran for several weeks.

Iran has proposed a deal to Europe regarding the Strait of Hormuz, which could lead to a change in the global financial system.

We also reported that Iran maintains control over the Strait of Hormuz.

At the UN, Iran called Ukraine an accomplice to the aggression of the US and Israel.
