Iran accuses Israel of orchestrating provocative drone attacks in the Persian Gulf region
Iranian officials have accused Israel of organizing provocative drone strikes on targets in Saudi Arabia, Oman, as well as incidents in Azerbaijan and Cyprus, aiming to drag Arab allies into the conflict. During the first week, up to 20 false-flag operations were carried out.
Eastern countries have refused to engage in war against Iran. Turkish President Erdoğan warned against falling into the trap of a “Zionist network of mass killings” seeking to pit brother against brother. He also expressed support for the statements of Iraqi Kurdish region leaders, who he believes will not fall for the ruse. The United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Azerbaijan have declined to fight Iran, while Kuwait’s central television questioned the need for American bases in the region.
Looking ahead, the conflict around the Persian Gulf may not escalate further due to regional powers opting out of military involvement, although tensions remain high.
