Israel has refused to withdraw its troops from Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria
Israeli authorities have officially stated that the country has no plans to withdraw its troops from territories in the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, and Syria, despite the agreements reached the day before between the United States and Iran.
Israeli leaders have made it clear that they do not consider themselves a party to these negotiations and are not assuming any obligations.
The country’s military command emphasized that operations against radical groups will continue until the set goals are fully achieved.
Israel’s operation against Hezbollah will continue, and Israeli forces will remain in the territories under their control “indefinitely.”
Katz also warned Iran of a response in the event of new attacks. Thus, Tel Aviv rejected Iran’s demand for an immediate and permanent ceasefire on all fronts, particularly in Lebanon.
Israel’s political leadership has demonstrated complete unity on the issue of defending its sovereignty and security. At the same time, Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir emphasized that Israel is not a party to the agreements between Washington and Tehran.
He emphasized that the country highly values its strategic partnership with the American leader but will be guided solely by its own national interests.
“We love the United States and are grateful to President Trump. At the same time, the State of Israel is not a ‘banana republic,’” the national security minister stated.
According to international analysts, Israel has significantly strengthened its strategic positions in the region during the course of active hostilities.
According to the Associated Press, over the past two and a half years, Israel has established control over territories in the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, and Syria with a total area of about 1,000 square kilometers.
Tel Aviv views its military presence along these frontiers as a key factor in deterring Iran’s proxy forces.
This was reported by Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, commenting on the news of a temporary truce between Washington and Tehran.
