Israeli military raids Al-Mughayyir village in the West Bank

In the occupied West Bank, Palestine, Israeli forces raided the village of Al-Mughayyir in the central part of the region and detained several young Palestinians. This was reported by Anadolu Agency, citing local sources.

Detentions in Al-Mughayyir

According to the agency's sources, Israeli forces entered the village to protect Israeli settler shepherds who had gathered near Palestinian homes west of Al-Mughayyir.

The military took those detained to the Shaab al-Louz area west of the village. There, according to local sources, they were forced to clear a secondary road that had previously been blocked.

Israeli forces also raided the village of Arura northwest of Ramallah, as well as the villages of Abwein, Jiljiliya and Ajul north of the city. No detentions were reported in these localities.

Separately, local sources said that on the evening of September 5, Israeli settlers stole iron and plastic tanks and barrels used by Palestinians in the northern Jordan Valley to store water for livestock.

Anadolu Agency also notes that Israeli army raids and settler attacks have regularly occurred in the occupied West Bank since the start of Israel's war in the Gaza Strip in October 2023.
