Callas noted that Russia's threats against the Baltic states are a sign of weakness
The head of European diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, condemned Russia’s threats against the Baltic states. She called Moscow’s accusations “complete nonsense” and stated that such actions are a sign not of strength, but of weakness.
Kallas wrote about this on the X platform.
The official commented on recent statements by Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service, which claimed that Ukraine allegedly plans to launch drones at targets in Russia directly from Latvian territory, adding threats that Russia “knows the coordinates of decision-making centers in Latvia.”
Kallas called these reports a sign of Moscow’s weakness.
"The claim that the Baltic states are allowing Ukraine to use their airspace is complete nonsense, and Russia knows this well. Moscow’s threats against the Baltic states are not a sign of strength, but of weakness," she wrote.
The head of European diplomacy stated that Russia is attempting to intimidate the EU with these threats and called on European countries to strengthen their support for Ukraine.
"Russia is suffering defeat on the battlefield in Ukraine and is trying to intimidate us into reducing our support for Ukraine. The right response is to do the opposite: to strengthen our support for Ukraine and further reinforce Europe’s defense," she added.
