The China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) was responsible for 76 of these launches, while private companies carried out the rest. About 326 satellites and spacecraft weighing over 300 tons were delivered to orbit. In 2026, China plans to increase to 100 launches annually and narrow the gap with global leaders in payload mass.

In 2025, China also launched the "Tianwen-2" mission to collect soil samples from a near-Earth asteroid and successfully tested equipment for a future crewed lunar mission.
