China’s Pallas-1 rocket makes its first flight

Chinese private space launch services provider Galactic Energy successfully sent the medium-class Pallas-1 launch vehicle into space on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. The Pallas-1 Y-1 rocket was used for this flight.

The rocket lifted off at 10:00 a.m. Beijing time from the Dongfeng Commercial Space Launch Innovation Pilot Zone. The report states that this site is located in northwestern China.
