Books about Bulgakov and Vysotsky will be labeled under the drug law

Biographical works about the poet Vladimir Vysotsky and the writer Mikhail Bulgakov will be subject to special labeling in accordance with the Russian law banning "drug propaganda."

This is reported by Russian media.

This applies to books that contain references to narcotic substances. They have been included in the Russian Book Union’s list, which identifies publications subject to mandatory labeling.

Among them are the biography “Vysotsky: I Have Something to Justify Myself Before Him,” as well as several books about Bulgakov, including titles from the “Lives of Remarkable People” series, “Bulgakov: My Memories,” and a guidebook based on “The Master and Margarita.”

Previously, the list included works by Viktor Pelevin, Sergei Lukyanenko, Stephen King, Chuck Palahniuk, Haruki Murakami, as well as certain classic novels published after 1990.
