Morocco’s king expresses solidarity with Saudi Arabia after Houthi attacks — Anadolu Agency
In Rabat, Morocco, King Mohammed VI expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia following Houthi strikes on its territory. According to Anadolu Agency, in telegrams to King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, he stated that the security and stability of Saudi Arabia and other states of the Gulf Cooperation Council are an integral part of Morocco’s security.
Statement by the King of Morocco
Mohammed VI stressed that any attack on Saudi Arabia is an attack on Morocco. He also expressed deep concern over attacks targeting Saudi Arabia’s civilian and economic facilities, critical infrastructure, cities and residential areas.
According to the king, attempts to strike the holy city of Mecca have intensified the condemnation of these attacks.

Conflict in Yemen
Yemen has been in conflict since 2014, when the Houthis seized Sanaa and several provinces. In 2015, a Saudi Arabia-led coalition intervened in support of Yemen’s internationally recognized government.
Recently, the conflict has spread to Saudi Arabian territory. The Houthis attacked the kingdom, including its oil infrastructure, after the group announced a maritime blockade in July.
