Cuba is in a complete economic collapse, Rubio says
U.S. Senator Marco Rubio described Cuba as a country in catastrophic condition, governed by incompetent, aging men. According to him, the nation has no functioning economy and is experiencing total collapse.
Rubio referred to his family’s background, explaining that they emigrated from Cuba to the United States in 1956 during the regime of Fulgencio Batista, 2.5 years before the Cuban Revolution and Fidel Castro’s rise to power.
Rubio believes the current situation on the island highlights the need for reforms, though the prospects for implementing them remain uncertain.
