In southern Norway, an avalanche struck a group of tourists, trapping several people under the debris.

The incident occurred in the Gemsedalen area. Four people were caught in the avalanche.

One of the tourists was considered missing for some time, prompting rescuers to step up their efforts.

Subsequently, all four victims were found. Their condition is currently being monitored by medical personnel, though the extent of their injuries is still being determined.

A helicopter and ground services were deployed for the rescue operation.

Law enforcement officials are urging tourists to follow safety rules in the mountains and heed weather warnings.

Also in Germany, a skier died in an avalanche while climbing the Iseler.

The tragic incident occurred in the French Pyrenees mountain range, where a local resident was killed by a massive avalanche.
