Lukashenko announced a "selective" mobilization of the Belarusian army
The self-proclaimed president of Belarus announced plans to mobilize certain military units to boost their combat readiness. Alexander Lukashenko emphasized the need to prepare the armed forces for military operations, despite official rhetoric about the country’s commitment to peace.

During a briefing by Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin, personnel issues and the results of recent combat readiness inspections conducted by the General Staff were discussed. The head of state emphasized that such measures are part of routine training aimed at ensuring the army is capable of acting when necessary. According to Khrenin, an analysis of the latest inspections has already allowed conclusions to be drawn regarding the further reform of military units.
The decision on “selective” mobilization was presented as a step toward strengthening Belarus’s defense capabilities. The country’s authorities continue to actively inspect the readiness of equipment and personnel to carry out combat missions. At the same time, Lukashenko expressed hope that a full-scale conflict could be avoided, though he urged the troops to be prepared for any scenario.

Belarus continues to build infrastructure facilities deep within its territory and is not moving them closer to the Ukrainian border. At the same time, it cannot be ruled out that Russia may use these facilities in the future to deploy additional forces and equipment.
Journalists have established that Belarus continues to play a significant role in supplying the Russian military-industrial complex, providing chassis, electronics, and other key components for Russian military equipment. The value of these supplies in recent years has already reached billions of dollars.
