Almost all of the victims of the forest fire in Spain were foreigners
Spanish authorities have completed the identification of the 13 people who died as a result of a massive wildfire in the Los Gallardos area of Andalusia. Nearly all of the victims were foreign nationals.
Among the dead are eight British citizens, one French citizen, two Belgian citizens, an American woman, and her Spanish husband.
According to the investigation, they were all trapped by the fire on a narrow road while trying to leave the area engulfed by the blaze.
Most of the victims were living in or vacationing in the Spanish town of Bedar.
